This privacy policy only covers Survey Research Associates, Inc's own collecting and handling of data. We only work with partners, affiliates and third-party providers whose privacy policies align with ours, however we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.

Choice and consent

We are committed to giving you the opportunity to choose how your personal data is used and disclosed. In accordance with the DPF Choice Principle, we provide the following options.

1. Opting out of non-essential uses

If we wish to use your personal data for any purpose materially different from the one for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized, you will have the opportunity to opt out. You can do this by contacting us at contact@srahq.com.

2. Disclosure to third parties

If we ever intend to disclose your personal data to a third party for a purpose other than what was originally collected or authorized, we will provide you with a mechanism to opt out of such disclosure, unless that data is HR data processed under the employment relationship or we are required to do so by law. We currently do not share or transfer HR data to third parties unless legally required. However, if our policy changes in the future, you will be given a choice to opt out, or to opt in for sensitive data.

3. Sensitive information

For sensitive personal information (for example health data, biometric data, or any legally protected category), we will obtain your explicit opt-in consent before we share it with a third party or use it for a purpose materially different from what was originally disclosed or subsequently authorized. We do not currently collect sensitive information from site visitors. Should this change, we will update our policy accordingly and seek your consent as required.

4. Withdrawing consent

However, please be aware that limiting use or disclosure may affect our ability to provide you with certain services or benefits, for example in an HR context if data is necessary for feedback or engagement reports or other employee benefits.

HR data specifics

For our users, including those in the EU, UK and Switzerland, your HR data is collected and used primarily for employee engagement surveys, feedback collection, reporting and other internal employment purposes. We will not use your HR data outside of these stated purposes without providing you with an opportunity to opt out, or to opt in for sensitive data. Access to HR data is limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need. If you wish to limit how your HR data is used, or review or correct any HR information, please contact your HR department.

Affirmative commitment to comply with the DPF

Survey Research Associates, Inc. complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Survey Research Associates, Inc. has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. Survey Research Associates, Inc. has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. Relevant European data protection authority

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Survey Research Associates, Inc. commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of human resources data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF in the context of the employment relationship.

Investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission

Binding arbitration

Lawful requests by public authorities

Survey Research Associates, Inc. respects the privacy of your personal information. Should our policy change in the future, and Survey Research Associates, Inc. finds it necessary to transfer personal information to a third party acting as an agent on our behalf, we will uphold our responsibilities under the DPF Principles. Liability in onward transfers
